Natural Surveillance; 2. Territorial Reinforcement; 3. Natural Access Control; and 4. Target Hardening. Presented along with each of these CPTED strategies are guidelines which, as a business owner you can apply to reduce the fear and incidence of crime and improve the quality of life. Clean, well managed and well maintained properties add value to the community and are less likely to be the targets of crime and associated problems.
