Save the Party!

An Edmonton way of life is being threatened, and Edmontonians are coming together to save it.

Every year countless hours of partying are lost to excessive behaviour that ends the party too soon. Violence, vandalism, and disruption – these acts are committed by a few people, but they affect all partiers.

Now, a small group of committed people are banding together to Save the Party. “It’s not too late if we act now,” said Ed Monton, legendary local partier. “We are the party, and we won’t let our parties die because of the behaviour of others. We stand united in support of legendary party experiences, and we want others to join us, to join our cause and Save the Party.”

Supporters of the cause can sign a petition . As the campaign grows, supporters vow to take their actions to wherever the party environment might be threatened by a few people getting too drunk or too violent.

“We won’t stop trying to help people party – we’ll go wherever we have to and do whatever it takes to keep the party going,” added Donna Duyawana, a noted Edmonton party facilitator. “This is our lifestyle, and we’ll defend it to the end – usually around 3:00 in the morning.”
